EQUALITY for EVERYONE!

“No one has the right to torture you.”

Even though this is one of the human rights, it’s being violated in our world today. Human trafficking is still a major issue in many countries today. In India today, children and women are trafficked to forced labor or sex trafficking. I have seen with my own eyes how kids beg on the main road for money. They don’t beg for themselves, but for someone who is forcing them to do such things. I have seen fake blood on a kid’s head to make it look like they are injured. Not only they are forced to beg, but they are sent away to other countries as slaves. This to me is torture, you are torturing little kids and women to do things that they are not willing to do. This doesn’t only happen in India, but there are other countries where this is also an issue.

“Everyone has the right to education”

I think this human right is tied with forced labor / human trafficking. If children are sent to forced labor at a young age then you are taking away their education. Even if you are not part of human trafficking, there are still a lot of kids who don’t get the education they deserve. They can’t go to schools because of their family income, or maybe they are facing poverty. I think it’s really important for kids today to get good education, so that they can work in the future and at least earn some for their family. Education is really important for everyone, so that they can work and help their family ahead.

I think we all are capable to observe and learn what is going on around the world. Through this observations, human rights come into action. All the human rights should be passed on to everyone in the society to be agreed upon. Since we all are individuals with different opinions this can be challenging. There are many different cultures, religion followed around the world which is why human rights is needed. The list of human rights are all made so that it is relatable to each culture / religion.

  2. I truly agree with you that everyone should not be tortured. It is one of the most important human rights, yet it was often abused in today’s society. I also like how you connect the right to education with it.
